Netball Australia are seeking volunteers for the Diamonds v England Test
Match on 22 October.

All volunteers will receive a ticket to watch the game upon the conclusion
of their duties.

The rain seems to have passed so bring a camp chair ( leave the picnic rug at home) and come and enjoy a BBQ and some cake. We look forward to seeing you there.

We are watching those black clouds pass down at Deakin and will update around 5 pm.

We are looking forward to sharing a sausage or two with everyone tomorrow evening (Wednesday 24 September). Don’t forget to bring a picnic rug to sit on. The party starts at 5:45pm and thanks to those who said they could get there a little earlier to help set up.
Following the BBQ, we will hold our Annual General Meeting and everyone is invited to participate. All positions on the committee will be declared vacant . Specifically we need, at a minimum, the roles of President, Treasurer, Secretary and Public officer to be filled in order for the club to operate. There are further roles such as club registrar & coordinators for uniform, umpires and coaches. The AGM starts at 7 pm. A really exciting day at the courts today. Six Bullants teams played their hardest; four teams will advance to join the four Bullants teams already in the grand finals.
A big cheer for Sioux and Arapaho who played with such gusto and only went down by a few goals; Arapaho forcing extra time. A big clap to our scorers who had to cope with some hard and fast games.

So bring on grand final day!

We have six teams trying for a spot in the Grand finals next week, joining the four teams we already have there. As I mentioned last week, we are at the pointy end of the season and coaches may make the decision to play certain combinations of players that work best for the team. All players and parents are asked to respect the coaching decisions; they are made for the advancement of the team not an individual player. If you need to chat to the coach, please do so briefly before or after the game as they will be focusing on the players in the lead up and during the game.
Game times are as follows:
10:30 am – Sioux
12 pm – Arapaho & Kiowa
2 pm – Mohicans & Braves
3:15 pm – Chickasaw

Scoring – Thanks to those who take on the role of scoring in the finals…it can be a stressful job! Please make sure you are standing with the opposition scorer so that there is no dispute in the end result.
