Once again there is the possibility of rain but hopefully it won’t hang around on Saturday. Don’t forget that we have all weather courts so in the event of wet weather any decision to cancel will not be made until the last moment (unless of course it is pouring and there is ongoing thunder and lightning).  All notifications will be on the SCNA website (http://scna.act.netball.com.au)  FIRST then we will make it happen at the Bullants level.  Remember we aim to play and if it is raining in one part of Canberra doesn’t mean it is raining in Deakin so come prepared to play!

Juniors Div 4  Sioux,  Juniors Div 2 Cherokee and Inters Div 2 Dakota all have a bye this week. See you all at training next week.

Canteen – Mohican’s are kindly helping out in the canteen from 10.50-12.0opm. All family, friends and helpers welcome.

TRAINING WEDNESDAY JUNE 29th – as this is the last training before a 3 week break we have decided to cancel all training for this week and hope everyone gets in some lovely family time over the break.

All Junior games canceled this morning. All Inters and Seniors games are still on until closer to the time.

NSG SET (9am) and NET (10 am) have been cancelled.  All other divisions stand by for announcements closer to start time.

Its the first day of winter and the weather is a little drizzly which makes training a bit unpleasant. So Bullants stay inside in the warmth and we will see you on Saturday.

SPLIT ROUNDS:

This weekend Juniors Div 4 teams Cree and Sioux will be playing split rounds at the 10.00am timeslot. Inters Div 2 teams Dakota and Kiowa and Div 4 team Cheyenne will also be playing a split round at the 12.00pm timeslot, so make sure you take a look at the draw on the SCNA website.

Canteen – Bullants teams have a reprieve this weekend. Check the SCNA website for when your team is rostered on in coming weeks.

REMINDER: No dogs at the courts please.  No Jewellery unless it is a medical bracelet (taped) or a FLAT wedding band(taped).  No you can’t tape earrings and nose rings they MUST be removed.  Thank you for your support with this.

Lots happening down at SCNA this weekend.

NetSetGo players – there is a competition to win tickets to the ACT Darters home game on Sunday 29 May at 1 pm at SolarHub Netball ACT stadium in Lyneham.  Pop up to the window on Saturday and get your lucky number for a chance to win.  You will need to bring your best cheer, pinkness and a parent to the game.

SCNA Strategic plan – The SCNA has begun the process of reviewing the current Strategic plan and are seeking your input.  This week we will be focusing on our Vision and Mission statements.  Come and have your say on what you would like netball at SCNA to look like as we move forward.

Congratulations – Well done to all the Bullants who trialed for the ACT U 15s squad.  Congratulations to Eloise Millington and Lauren Thomas who made the team.  They will pop over to Adelaide in July to compete.

Goodluck – to the Bullants players, coaches and umpires competing this weekend in the BNA Rep carnival.

Happy National Volunteers Week
We would like to acknowledge all those who help out getting the players on the court both at our club level and at the District (SCNA) level.  We have some awesome volunteers at Bullants including our committee, coaches, managers, scorers, bbq and canteen helpers.  If you haven’t felt that feel good sense of community that volunteering brings then come and join us as many hands makes it easier for all of us.
Please make sure you say THANK YOU to a Bullants volunteer this weekend, they will appreciate it 🙂

We have well and truly settled into the season now.  Just a reminder as the weather starts to get chillier to wear warm clothing (layers) to training.  Once the sun goes down it turns cold very quickly down at Deakin. Hopefully the new lights will be fully functional for training to resume next Wednesday.

We have to cancel training this week as the SCNA lighting upgrade needs to be finalised tomorrow night and we can’t be there while they do it.  They had hoped to have it finished by Tuesday but the rain slowed them down.  So we will see you on Saturday and then under new lights next Wednesday.
