Keep those registrations coming.  We need to get everyone in the system by grading on Wednesday 15 Feb!

Uniform try ons and Registration help- This Wednesday, 8 Feb 2017 at 5:30 – 7pm down at the Deakin pavilion.  All players wear the Bullants dress.  We will be adding Club Boyleg Sports briefs to our uniform line however these will be optional.  It is unlikely we will have these in stock to try on so stay tuned for more information about this.

An important change to note:

• SCNA have created a new division – Juniors GO which is for Year 4 players.  This will be the perfect transition out of NSG and into Juniors.  This will make it easier to place our developing players in a balanced competition.  So Year 2 and 3 players will register into NSG SET, Year 4 players into Juniors GO and Year 5 & 6 players into Juniors.

DATES to note:

• Wednesday 8 February 2017  (5:30 – 7.30 pm) – Uniform try ons and registration help will be available at the SCNA pavilion.
• Friday 10 February – Register NOW – Registrations must be completed by Friday 10 February 2017
• Wednesday 15 February 2017 – Club grading/training begins on Wednesday 15 February 2017 and continues every Wednesday until the end of the season excluding school holidays.

Are you ready?  It is nearly time for netball (so no new piercings from here on in, ok).  Over the weekend we will finalise all the registration details and upload the registration links and grading/training details to the website.  We are really looking forward to seeing all our Bullants again and to welcoming new members to our netball family.

Volunteers – We can’t offer netball if we don’t have coaches and umpires (and managers and a number of other vital volunteers).  Please help our by signing up here VOLUNTEER FORM

Gosh it is hard to believe we are at the end of the summer comp already, we hope you all have had fun.  A big thanks to the coaches and parents who have helped out getting teams on the court and of course our fantastic umpires  ( your payments will be processed on Sunday).  All kit bags need to be returned to the umpires room at the end of your game. As an end of season treat SCNA will provide an iceblock for juniors at the end of their game so pop up to the pavillion.

Lost property – there are several Bullants jumpers in the lost property.  They have no names on them so at the end of tomorrow if they havent been claimed they will go into the second hand clothing pool.  if you have lost a jumper please check out the box.  

Winter team photos will be available for pick up after the juniors game. I will have them up at the pavillion.

2017 Regos will go online at the end of January.  Make sure you keep an eye on the website or our facebook page  for more details.

Bullants Blunderbirds and Rough Diamonds…..the teams you are scheduled to play tonight have forfeited so there is no game for  you tonight. 

We have 13 teams competing in the summer comp: 2 x NSG, 4 x Juniors, 2 x Inters and 5 x Seniors.  I have sent out team emails tonight so please check your email for details.  All draws are up on the SCNA and Bullants websites.

Players still needed in NSG SET –  We can fit 4 more players.

UMPIRES – We will need umpires for the Juniors, Inters and Seniors.  Please email the Bullants email or Meghan if you are up for earning some pocket money.

No Jewelry – Just a reminder that all piercings need to be removed and the only jewerly allowed is a flat (taped) wedding ring or a medic alert bracelet (also taped).

No dogs – we love them but they can’t come to netball.

Parking – the best place to park is the King Street Car park (especially if touch football is on)

Just a reminder if you want to play in the summer comp starting 12 October to get your registrations in by Thursday.  We need to nominate teams to SCNA and we can’t do it if we dont have accurate numbers.  All the details on our website SUMMER COMP DETAILS [link]. 

With much sadness we have decided to cancel our end of year celebration scheduled for tonight.  Usually we hold off until the last minute to make decisions regarding the weather however with so much food on order we have called it early so as to not have wastage.  Our party night is our way of acknowledging our fantastic volunteers within our community.  So here is a shout out….THANKYOU, we couldn’t support 18 teams without you!

Umpires: Huge thanks to Meghan who sorted umpires each week.  We love our umpires and value the contribution they make…THANK YOU!

Managers – they are far and few between these days but we totally love it when someone takes on these roles so THANK YOU!

Everyone who scored, worked in the canteen or bbq or generally helped out…THANK YOU!

We will have team photos available at summer comp for pick up.

Our AGM will still be held at the pavilion at 7pm.  Everyone is invited to take on a role to keep the club going.

How wonderful was it to have the sun shining on Grand Final day?  Our 5 Bullants teams gave well above 100% in every game and we couldn’t be more proud of their effort even when the game didn’t go their way.  Well done girls, you pushed on even when you got tired,  injured or played your least favourite position and that reflects great sportsmanship.  Big cheers to the Chiefs, Senior Division 2 Champs for 2016!

Unfortunately the rain looks like spoiling our party on Wednesday night!  We will keep a weather eye out and make a decision on Wednesday morning as to whether we go ahead.  Any cancellation notice will be posted here and Facebook so check in throughout the day.

AGM – Regardless of the weather we will hold our AGM at Deakin on Wednesday 21 Sept at 7pm.  Feel free to come along and volunteer to keep the club going!

Summer comp – Keep those regos coming in and if you are a parent champion who is organising a team, send us your player names and team name so we can make sure we have all the friends together.  We have quite a lot of new families coming to Bullants for summer so if you need some extra players let us know and we can pop our new players in.
