So let’s start this week with the weather.  In stark contrast to last week it is likely to be less than pleasant tomorrow.  However getting on the court is our aim.  In the event of rain each time slot will be assessed 30 minutes before playing time and any cancellation will be first notified on the SCNA website and the pushed out to the club.   Players should dress appropriately.  NSG and juniors players should have a black or white tshirt (short or long sleeve)  under their dress and can wear black leggings.  Please have warm clothes to put on when the player is off the court or finished the game.

Umpires – Please respect our umpires! We can’t play without them.  Inappropriate attitude towards our umpires will not be tolerated.

Canteen – 11:50 Mohawks; 1:50 Goshute

Netball – Saturday 5 May

Welcome back to Saturday netball.  There is lots happening down at SCNA this weekend.  We will have Canberra Giant Leigh Kalsbeek down at the courts to help out with the NSG Net program and sign some autographs so pop up to the pavilion and have a chat to her.

The next batch of Junior Umpires begin their Foundation training this week.  They will have a theory lesson then take the court to umpire in the Junior timeslot.  We ask all players and spectators to be supportive of these girls; it’s a tough gig taking up the whistle and our game cannot be played without umpires.  If there are any parents interested in joining Team White email Ann at scna.umpires@gmail.com

The ACT Senior State League season kicks off tonight out at Lyneham.  If you want to see some great local netball head out to the ACT Netball Centre from 6pm and cheer for our SCNA girls.  Good luck for the season to our Bullants players in the SCNA squad.

The SCNA Junior Rep Carnival is on Sunday.  To help us prepare for this please make sure you take all your rubbish with you on Saturday and check the lost property box and remove anything that belongs to you.  Good luck to all the Bullants players, coaches and umpires involved in the Carnival.
