SCNA JUNIOR REP READINESS PROGRAM

During Term 3 SCNA is running a Rep Readiness Program.

This is a program targeting players born from 2004 – 2010* and interested in playing junior rep for SCNA in 2019.
The program is divided into the following age groups:
SNAP – Players born 2008, 2009 and 2010*
CORE – Players born in 2005, 2006 and 2007
LEAP – Players born in 2004
*Please note that players born in 2010 are welcome to join the program, however will not be eligible to trial for the Junior Representative Program.
Program details are:
Dates: Thursday 16 August to Thursday 13 September (the program runs for 5 weeks)
Time: 5.30 – 7pm

Cost: $60 per player made online

Registrations and payment close 13 August 2018. You must be registered to participate.

Saturday Netball – We’re back

We hope everyone is excited about getting back on the court tomorrow!  We are into the home stretch of the Winter season with 5 weeks of competition before the finals rounds.

This week Chiefs are on Court packup after their game.

Team Photos:
We need to start taking these from next Saturday.  Coaches/managers please check with your team to ensure all (or the most) players are available and let us know when would be best week to take your team shot.  While we endeavour to get everyone in the photo if players are not at the courts during their scheduled time they may miss out.

Saturday Netball – 30 June

This week is the last week of netball before the three week term break.  With the NSW Giants in Canberra for their game against the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Bec Bulley and Kristina Brice will be making a visit to SCNA between 10-11am.  Make sure you pop up to the pavilion to say hello to them and grab a signature.  Tickets are still available if you want to head out to the game on Sunday at the AIS http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=GIANTNET18

Byes – Comanche, Kiowa
Forfeit – Cree (opposing team has forfeited the game)
Canteen duty – None

TRAINING ON WEDNESDAY 4 JULY  – Please check with your coach as to whether your team is training.  As there are a lot of people going away early for holidays your team may not train.  Training will resume on Wednesday 25 July.

 

U14-U17 Junior Champs this weekend

Head on out to Lyneham this weekend to cheer on the SCNA U14, U15 and U17 Rep players as they take on the other ACT districts. Good luck to all the Bullants players and officials participating #gosouths

Saturday Netball – 16 June

Rug up Bullants, it’s going to be nasty weather on Saturday.  The decision to cancel will not be made until just before each time slot so expect to play.  Any cancellations will be notified on the SCNA website first and then here.  If there is nothing posted then we are good to play.

Byes:  None
Potential no game: Arapaho given you have a grass court game please check the SCNA website for cancellation if it continues to rain overnight.

Canteen: Cheyenne (11:50-1pm)

TRAINING:  Please remember training is on every week in the lead up to the school holidays regardless of whether we have a game or not.  Training is only cancelled if we notify you here or you coach has made a special arrangement.

Saturday Netball – 2 June

Junior Draws – Junior families are advised to check the draws as two teams (not Bullants) have moved divisions and it may impact games (byes).

Split Round – This week is the first of our split rounds for Juniors 2, Inters 2, Seniors 1 and Seniors 3.  Teams in these divisions will play two half games.  there will be a 5 minute break at half time to swap courts if necessary.

Byes – Mohicans (game 2 of split round), Mohawks (game 2 of split round)

Canteen – Sioux (9:50-11), Cree (1:50-3)

Scorers:  Scorers MUST score together.  SCNA will provide two chairs courtside for this purpose.  Scoring is a collaboration with the other team NOT an us against them event.  Can the scorer please ensure all players sign the board.

Uniform – Socks and hoodies have arrived. We will pack them up for pickup at training next week.

Saturday Netball – 19 May

Looks like a much nicer day weatherwise at the courts this weekend.

Midday duty: Cheyenne (12 – 12.30). Please check into the office for instructions

Canteen Duty: Braves 12:50 – 2 pm

NEXT WEEK

There will be NO training next Wednesday as the coaches will be having their own special training session. Dakota will be helping us out for this.

There will be NO game on Saturday 26 May due to the Reconciliation long weekend.

Saturday Netball – 12 May

So let’s start this week with the weather.  In stark contrast to last week it is likely to be less than pleasant tomorrow.  However getting on the court is our aim.  In the event of rain each time slot will be assessed 30 minutes before playing time and any cancellation will be first notified on the SCNA website and the pushed out to the club.   Players should dress appropriately.  NSG and juniors players should have a black or white tshirt (short or long sleeve)  under their dress and can wear black leggings.  Please have warm clothes to put on when the player is off the court or finished the game.

Umpires – Please respect our umpires! We can’t play without them.  Inappropriate attitude towards our umpires will not be tolerated.
