Training cancelled Wed 22 July

It looks like the rain may continue into the afternoon so we are cancelling training.  The courts currently have a lot of water pooling on them. Here’s hoping the weather will be fine for National Netball Day on Saturday.

This Saturday is the last round before the school holidays and as such we won’t have training next Wednesday.  Training will resume on Wednesday 22 July.
Many of our girls are representing SCNA at rep carnivals this weekend.  The Comanche girls will be competing at the NSW State Age Championships over the next three days and our other rep players will be at Arawang on Sunday.  Best of to all our rep girls and umpires.

Team photos will be taken when we return on 25 July and 8 August so please make sure you are available 40 minutes before your game.

We have a new batch of hoodies for sale.  To order visit the UNIFORMS PAGE and fill in the order form.  Payment needs to be made before pickup.

Great community spirit Bullants

60 cheering Bullants went out to support the Canberra Darters tonight; some Chinook players even won a prize for the best support poster. Good job girls.

And check out Comanche supporting SIDS and Kids ACT with their red noses.

MyNetball app – Netball Australia has launched the new MyNetball app which allows you to view matches and ladders straight from your phone.  The MyNetball app is available in both the Apple and Google Play stores and it is free.  Once you download it search for South Canberra Netball Association and save it as your favourite.  You can then access the competition draws and ladders.

Canteen duty – Mohicans 10:50 – 12:00pm.  Next week Cheyenne and Cherokee  are rostered on.

Calendar – make sure you check the  CALENDAR page regularly so you know what’s going on and when.

SCNA Council meeting – Wed. 3 June

We need a volunteer from the audience please. There is an SCNA Council meeting on Wednesday 3 June at 6:30 pm at the Deakin Pavilion. Bullants is required to have one representative at the meeting.  Failure to provide a representative will result in a 5 point penalty to all our teams ( applied in the following round). Previously our coaches have stepped into the meeting while coaching so that we were covered; clearly this is less than ideal as they are there to coach. So this week our coaches will not be doing that as they have a coaching training session.

Please email bullantsnetball@gmail.com if you can be our champion.

Saturday 30 May

This week is the halfway point of the season proper.  Some divisions will play a split round so check the draw carefully to make sure you know which court you are supposed to be on ( applies to juniors div 1, inters div 3 and 4)

Bye – Navajo.  Mohicans have a bye in the first game of the split round but then play the second game at 11:30

Canteen – Shawnee (10:50 – 12:00) and Mohawks (12:50 – 2:00)
