Bullants Netball Club Inc.

Bullants has 7 teams competing for the title of Division Champion. Good luck teams. The following teams will play in the Semi Finals tomorrow:
10 am – Junior Div 2 – Cherokee
11 am – Juniors Div 1 – Mohicans
11 am – Juniors Div 3 – Shawnee
12 pm – Inters Div 2 – Kiowa
2 pm – Seniors Div 1 – Navajo
2 pm – Seniors Div 1 – Comanche
3:15 pm Seniors Div 2 – Chiefs

Supporters are asked to follow the directions posted at the courts as to where you can stand and cheer.  The bench (players and coach) as well as the scorer will be on one side of the court and supporters will be cheering on the other (Go Bullants!).  Each team must supply one scorer who will stand with the other team scorer throughout the whole game.  We appreciate that it gets very exciting at finals times so here’s a link if you need a refresher on the CODES OF CONDUCT.

Wet weather – The decision to cancel the games due to the weather will not be made until just before the time slot in which the game is to be played so please BE PREPARED TO PLAY.  As per usual you will find wet weather info on the website and Facebook pages

Canteen – The following teams have a 15 minute time slot (one supporter only):
11:30-11:45: Shawnee
12:30-12:45: Kiowa
2:00-2:15: Navajo
3:00-3:15: Chiefs

Congratulations to the teams who have made it through to round 1 of the finals this weekend.  Training will be on for you tonight 😃

Saturday will be a big day down at SCNA.  It is the last round of the season proper and for some players it will be their last game. Thank you so much for your commitment to the season. We hope to have you playing with Bullants again in the summer or next year.

NSG presentations will be held straight after the game at 9:45 am. As soon as the game is complete come on down to Court 2 and sit with your team.

The SCNA Volunteer of the Year awards will be announced at 11:50 am.  Could all players and their supporters at the courts at that time please assemble on Court 2. It is really important that we acknowledge those individuals who work hard for our community.  Please join us in congratulating the following Bullants nominees:

It’s looking pretty grim out there today and just starting to drizzle in places so we are going to cancel all training tonight. Stay home and keep warm and we will see you on Saturday morning.

The end of the netball season is nearly upon us so it’s time to plan our End of Season Celebration.  Our get together is a way for us to acknowledge each of our teams, their coaches and supporters.  It is a celebration for the whole Bullants family (yes, the whole family including parents and siblings!). Following the party we will hold our Annual General Meeting. Everyone is invited and we are always looking for parents or our Senior players to step up and take on an organisational role to keep the club going (zero experience necessary – all training provided).

We are looking forward to having everyone along to party!

The second last round of the season proper will see catch up games played from the lost round on June 4.  Split rounds need to be played in Juniors Div 4 and Inters Div 2 & 4 so please be mindful of the need to change courts at half time.  Just a reminder that next Saturday 20 August there will be no netball at SCNA due to U13-U15 Reps Junior Championships.  Good luck to all the Bullants players, coaches and umpires involved in the weekend.

It’s hard to believe we are in the tail end of the season.  Three weeks of competition remain before the finals series.  Please note we will play on the following Saturdays 30 July, 13 Aug & 27 Aug.  On Saturday 6 Aug and 20 Aug, the SCNA Junior Rep teams will be playing their hardest in the ACT Junior Championships; good luck to all the Bullants players, coaches and umpires participating in Junior Champs.  A very big thanks to the Bullants players, coaches and Mum’s and Dad’s who took the Crazy Hair and Sock day challenge on.  Overall SCNA supporters raised $1600 on the day which is an amazing effort.

SCNA will host the second round of the ACT Men’s Netball League.  The games will be played at 3:15 pm on courts 1 & 2.  Come down and meet the men of SCNA.  They are looking for a few extra players so please feel free to make contact if you are interested.

CRAZY HAIR AND SOCK DAY! – Don’t forget that this weekend is Crazy Hair and Sock Day, Get involved, get colourful and donate to support the Kids’ Cancer Project!

No Netball – Don’t forget in August there are two weekends (Aug 6 and Aug 21) with no regular Saturday games due to the ACT Junior Representatives Championships.

The weather is holding so we will see you all soon. Rug up though.

Saturday’s games will be the last before the school holiday break.  There will be no training next Wednesday 29 June and training will resume on Wednesday 20 July.
