Saturday Games – 25 March

I hope everyone is excited for tomorrow’s games.  Please meet your coach 30 minutes before the start of your game over on the grass court 9.  Once the days games start we need to keep the hard court area free for those players and supporters who are on the court playing.  All warm ups (with the exception of NSG SET) will take place on the grass courts.  Please come game ready; nails trimmed, piercings removed, hair tied back, smile on.  Please leave your furry friends at home.

Game start times (arrive 30 mins before):
NSG SET: 9am  (coaches briefing 8:40)
Juniors Go: 10 am (coaches briefing 9:40)
Juniors – 10-12pm (4 grading games)
Inters: 12-2pm (4 grading games)
Seniors: 2pm or 3:15 pm

Wet weather: Assume we are playing!  The decision to cancel will not be made until close to the start of the game.

Uniform: If your order hasn’t arrived yet then black shorts/skirt and white top will be fine.

Canteen: The roster will be out next week but feel free to pop in and help out…we are all volunteers at SCNA.

The SCNA office is not a Bullants office; the people working there will not know where your uniform is or what team you are on.  I will be at the courts all day (the one with the shaved head) but I also coach at times.  Look for a Bullants person with a black/red tshirt who will be able to help.

See you at the courts
Ruth

Training cancelled

As I watch the radar it appears that more rain is to follow this afternoon’s storm so training is cancelled today.  I will post reminders about Saturday’s games  on Friday so check the blog, Facebook or your email (if you have clicked the follow link of the blog…hint, hint) before heading to the courts.  Cheers Ruth

Team announcements

We will be sending team announcement notices on the weekend; thank you for your patience as we work through the allocations.  This year we have 176 players to place into 18 teams so it has taken a little bit of sorting.  When we select players into teams we take many aspects into consideration (age, size, rep commitments, athleticism, enthusiasm) and we do our best to match up players.  We ask that parents support our decisions and encourage their child to fully engage in the team they are placed.  Once teams are announced we will need a manager for each.  The manager organises the scoring roster and canteen roster as well as other tasks as required.  Please consider volunteering for this role.

The SCNA competition starts on Saturday 25 March.  The NSG SET (9am) and Juniors Go (10 am) draws will be posted on the weekend.  Juniors and Inters will participate in 2 weeks of District grading.  Juniors will play between 10am – 12 pm and Inters 12 -2 pm,  Seniors draws will be posted on the weekend.  Warm up starts 30 minutes before the start of the game.

Just a reminder that players should arrive game ready to training as well as the game.  This means no jewelry, nails trimmed and drink bottle full.

So we are nearly there…looking forward to getting the season started.

Uniform pick up

Pop into the pavillion this afternoon, we have most of the uniform tgat was ordered before Monday ready to go

Registration closing on TUESDAY

If you haven’t registered yet please get on and do it asap (http://bullants.act.netball.com.au/Winter-competition.aspx?rw=c).  We need to finalise teams and it is very tricky if we don’t have players registered.  Players not registered may miss out on being allocated to a team (which would be very sad).  If you are having issues with the registration please drop us an email at bullantsnetball@gmail.com

Pavilion parking closed

Families are advised to park in the King St carpark

Grading/training starts Wednesday

Wow, we have 124 players registered.  We start our grading process on Wednesday.
5:30 pm: NSG SET and Juniors Go will start training
5:30 pm: Juniors will start the grading process (this may take a few weeks)
6:30 pm: Inters will start the grading process (this may take a few weeks)
7:30 pm:  Seniors will start the grading process (this may take a few weeks).  Seniors are expected to turn up to grading even if they have a complete team.

Please be patient as we start this process, we look at many different aspects to find the right team for our players.

We need adult coaches for our Inters and Seniorsteams.  Please consider stepping into this role.

Deja Vu -webstore issue

Just recycling this post from last year as we had the same issue (and it is totally random as to when it drops out).

Thanks to those families who came down and tried on uniform today.  The webstore has just had a little hiccup but hopefully we are back on track now.  If you placed an order and couldn’t pay  you can do so by depositing into our account:

Bullants Netball Club
BSB: 062905
Account number: 00902761

Thanks for your support and fingers crossed the technology will be nice to us from here on in.

Uniform try on – This Wednesday

Keep those registrations coming.  We need to get everyone in the system by grading on Wednesday 15 Feb!

Uniform try ons and Registration help- This Wednesday, 8 Feb 2017 at 5:30 – 7pm down at the Deakin pavilion.  All players wear the Bullants dress.  We will be adding Club Boyleg Sports briefs to our uniform line however these will be optional.  It is unlikely we will have these in stock to try on so stay tuned for more information about this.

Registrations are now open

The 2017 season is now officially open.  All your registration details are here on the WINTER COMP page.

An important change to note:

  • SCNA have created a new division – Juniors GO which is for Year 4 players.  This will be the perfect transition out of NSG and into Juniors.  This will make it easier to place our developing players in a balanced competition.  So Year 2 and 3 players will register into NSG SET, Year 4 players into Juniors GO and Year 5 & 6 players into Juniors.

DATES to note:

  • Wednesday 8 February 2017  (5:30 – 7.30 pm) – Uniform try ons and registration help will be available at the SCNA pavilion.
  • Friday 10 February – Register NOW – Registrations must be completed by Friday 10 February 2017
  • Wednesday 15 February 2017 – Club grading/training begins on Wednesday 15 February 2017 and continues every Wednesday until the end of the season excluding school holidays.
