Whoot! We made it to finals

Congratulations to the  19 Bullants teams who competed across all divisions.  We hope you have had a great season.  Of the 15 teams eligible for finals, 7 will take the court this weekend in the semi finals.  Good luck players, we know you will represent Bullants well.  Thanks to Grace Underwood, SCNA umpire mentor who came down to chat to the girls on Wednesday night in preparation for the finals.  The girls asked some great questions to clarify rules.

A few reminders about the finals series:

GAME TIMES THIS WEEK: Juniors – 10:30 am, Inters 2 & 4 – 12pm, Inters 1 & 3 – 1 pm  Next week game times for all Inters will be 12 pm

There will be no draws, we will play until we have a result.  The players and coaches were briefed on this on Wednesday night.

Court time:  As per our player policy – Players of all divisions who make the finals rounds (semi, preliminary and grand finals) will be played at the discretion of the coach. All players are guaranteed two quarters (Divisions 3 & 4) and one quarter (Divisions 1 & 2) of court time per game.

Players: Come to the courts GAME READY with plenty of time to warm up.  You need to take the court at the 30 second mark to ensure the game starts on time.  Remember good sportsmanship is remembered and valued long after the game has ended.  Play with passion and integrity and you are a winner regardless of the result.  You’ve GOT THIS!!

Scorers: We need one scorer for each team to be on the scoring bench to work collaboratively with the other scorer.  Thanks to the awesome volunteers who take on this role.

Spectators:  all spectators need to be on the opposite side of the court to the players bench.  Please let the coaches do their thing, be respectful of the umpires and the opposition.  Cheer wildly when we score, but don’t forget to acknowledge great play from the opposition.  Remember, the world doesn’t end if our teams don’t win, support your child with encouragement even in defeat.

Go Bullants!!!!

Saturday Netball – 25 August

Seniors
After last weeks wash out, Senior draws have been updated.  As this is the last round  before finals, we are going to try and get all rotation rounds completed.  Seniors Div 1 & 3 will play 3 mini games starting at 2 pm.  Please check the draws carefully and know where your court changes are.  Seniors Div 2 only need one more round to complete the rotation however please note your game starts at 3:30 pm this week.  As we had a team join this division in Week 3, points towards the finals will be calculated from Round 3-11 inclusive as that represents one whole rotation; everyone plays everyone .The ladder will be adjusted following the completion of round 11 to remove points from round 1 & 2.

All divisions: in the event of rain again this week, finals will be calculated based on points at the last played round.

Canteen Duty: Mohawks (11:50)
