Bullants Netball

All remaining netball games have been cancelled. See you at training on Wednesday. Stay dry and have a happy mothers day

Bullants Netball

SCNA have just advised that, to try to get some grading finalised, we will be playing at 11am… there is supposed to be a break in the weather then. They will make decisions on later timeslots hour by hour.l and we will post as we know more.

We have just heard that the games at 9am and 10am have been cancelled. We will keep you posted on whether later games are cancelled too. The objective is to proceed if safe.

Grading Week 2

The chances of rain are looking particularly high for this weekend, but unless absolutely necessary games will be proceeding, so please prepare to get wet, and keep your eyes posted on the SCNA website and the Bullants blog for updates about cancellations.

Draws: can be found here or on PlayHQ or the NetballHQ app for our NetSetGoers.

PSA: A reminder to players, parents and all spectators to please be kind to ALL of our umpires. Many of our umpires are new to umpiring, and need our support and respect to ensure that they continue. Remember we cannot play without umpires!

Parents/spectators: please note the expectation that team benches are reserved for players, coaches and umpires, and you should be on the opposite side of the court. These are shown below for reference, but the easy rule of thumb is the wider side of court is for spectators.

Photos: please remember that it’s fine to take photos of your own kids, but to make sure that nobody else is included in these photos without their/parental permission.

Uniforms: lost Bullants jumpers are collected by the committee, if you’ve accidentally left yours behind, please come see us next Wednesday so we can reunite you!

Second-hand dresses: we’re desperately on the lookout for a size 14 dress, if you have one you are no longer using, or know someone who might, please be in contact bullantsnetball@gmail.com

Special rounds: SCNA are planning two themed rounds this year, a Reconciliation round on the 25th of May (please note we are playing this week despite the Monday being a public holiday); and a Pride round in June. Start preparing for these now, as we will be encouraging the club to get involved in any way they can! If you have any ideas or would like to be involved in preparing for these rounds, we’d love to hear from you: bullantsnetball@gmail.com

Saturday netball starts

We are ready to welcome you to the first Saturday of netball. It’s supposed to rain later, so wear appropriate gear!!

Game Day Tomorrow!

Hopefully everyone has heard from their manager/coach by now! If not, please let us know by emailing bullantsnetball@gmail.com

Game times for NSG are on playHQ and for other grades are on the SCNA website here.

A big thank you to everyone who has volunteered for Bullants canteen and court duty so far. We have just a few spots left to fill, please click here to sign up. If you can’t attend your timeslot, please find a replacement from your team.

A reminder to parents and supporters that we love hearing your positive encouragement of all the players and officials! Please make sure you’re on the opposite side to the players bench so our great coaches can do their job!

We’re crossing our fingers for the weather, but any updates will be posted on the SCNA website first, and to the blog as soon as we can. Please note that often the decision is made per timeslot and you may not receive a lot of notice.

Saturday netball begins!

This weekend we will have our very first Saturday games for the season. If you haven’t already seen, grading draws for the weekend can be found here.

Calling all volunteers: to keep us on our toes, we are on court set-up/pack-up and canteen duties on the first day! Each team is responsible for providing a couple of parent helpers on the day, so please have a look at the attached and sign up for a time slot that suits you! volunteersignup.org/PYXYT

For our umpires, we will be running a rules session this Wednesday the 1st to update you on the new rules. These will be run at 6:30pm and 7:30pm, so that you can choose the session that best suits you!

We still have a handful of teams that are still looking for a manager, if your team is still needing one you would have recently received an email asking for volunteers. Please consider helping out, as teams will not be able to take the court without a manager.

Finally, please remember to collect your uniform at training on Wednesday, as they will not be available to collect on Saturday!

Beanie orders close today + uniforms!

A quick reminder today to get your beanie orders in today before they close tonight!

Click here to have a look and put in your order by tonight!

On another note, uniforms have now arrived. If you have ordered a uniform and have not yet picked it up, please ensure you collect your uniform at training on Wednesday, May 1st to wear for our first weekend of Saturday netball on May 4th. Please note uniforms WILL NOT be available to pick up on Saturdays.

We’re looking forward to seeing you for Wednesday and Saturday netball from May, but in the meantime enjoy the school holidays!

Limited Edition Bullants Beanies!

We know it might not be quite cold enough yet to be thinking about winter gear, but in a few short weeks training nights will become very very cold. To combat this, we’re releasing limited edition Bullants Beanies!

These will only be available via preorder. Orders will close on the 21st of April and be available for collection in mid-May.

If you’re interested, click here. The beanies will be $20 each, which is payable upon collection when they arrive. A mock-up of the beanies is available below or at the link. Hope you’re as excited as we are to be nice and warm during the winter months!
