Learn to Umpire, Training Departures and Leave your pooch at home

SCNA Junior Umpire Program

Due to the overwhelming interest in the junior umpiring program, SCNA is running a second program. If you missed out on being part of the first program, please send an email to SCNA Operations Manager with your contact details.

The second program is likely to start towards the end of term 2. You need to be in Yr 7 or above and able to attend on Saturday mornings from 9.15am for a theory lesson followed by umpiring in the junior timeslots at either 10 or 11 am.

No dogs permitted

Exit from Wednesday Training

Parents, during the busy 6.30pm court changeover on Wednesday evenings, please ensure you make yourself visible for children to easily identify you. It is difficult in the dark for children to see their responsible parent/carer and we have recently had some distressed children. Please make yourself easily seen at the King St gate so the children can safely and confidently leave the courts.

Bullants Netball

Good morning bullants families.

it is cold at the courts today, so make sure you rug up. Layers are ideal so players can remove them as they warm up. Remember to arrive 30 minutes before your game so that you can warm up properly and prevent injuries

Umpiring Foundation Course – Begins Tomorrow

For all players Yr7+ who are interested in learning to Umpire, please come along to the Pavilion tomorrow at 9.15am for the first session of the six week Foundation Umpiring course. Please bring a whistle if you can.

Saturday is Pink Sports Day and Umpires Foundation Course

In support of Breast Cancer Network Australia SCNA is asking all players, officials, volunteers and supporters to ‘pink up’ to help all women and men, and their families, affected by breast cancer.

Help SCNA reach their fundraising target by heading to the donation page https://pinksportsday.bcna.org.au/…/south-canberra… or make a donation on Saturday in the specially marked tins around the grounds. Looking forward to seeing you all in pink!

ARE YOU YEAR 7+ AND INTERESTED IN LEARNING TO UMPIRE?

Commencing this Saturday is the SCNA Umpires Foundation Course. Please register your interest by emailing Bullants at bullantsnetball@gmail.com We are waiting to receive conformation of the time of the course, but anticipate it will be mid-morning this Saturday.

For all our players, don’t forget: earrings out, watches removed, nails trimmed and long hair tied back. See you on the court on Saturday.

Bullants Netball Training – Weather Update

Hi Bullants Families.

It has stopped raining in the Deakin area and the radar shows it staying clear for the next few hours, so we are holding training this afternoon/evening.

It is cold out there, so make sure players and coaches all come dressed for the cold. Layers are a good idea so that you can add and subtract them as you warm up/cool down.

Bullants Netball Training – Weather

Hi Bullants Families.

We are sure you are wondering whether training is going ahead this afternoon/evening. We are hoping to proceed, but will advise you at around 4.30 if we have to cancel. We thank you for your patience as we wait to see how the weather develops.

BBQ SUCCESS

Thank you to all the parents who helped on the BBQ this morning. So successful that we have already sold out. Anyone who was volunteering for this afternoon…. you’re off the hook!!

Urgent reminder

We need more volunteers for the BBQ duty tomorrow.

All teams have been allocated a timeslot that matches when they play.

Please click on this link to volunteer. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a084aa8aa22a2fc1-bullants

Volunteers are required to cook and serve and a Bullants committee member will also be present to support. Players over 14 years welcome to assist.
