The following reminders have come through from SCNA:

Scoreboard – All players must sign the scoreboard EVERY WEEK to be eligible to play in the finals.

Prefer outside the courts: We are encouraging anyone who is not a player, coach, umpire, scorer or team manager to remain outside the gates where possible.

Division Re-grade: If any re-grading is necessary, changes will be made following the grading rounds (7th May). 

BBQ Duty: Bullants is rostered 28th May, please mark your calendar and be ready to assist when the call for help goes out.

Canteen Duty: Your team Manager will let you know when your team is on Canteen duty. Two volunteers are needed in the canteen for the 1hr 10min shift (this can be divided by a number of helpers into 15 or 30 minute slots so you can still watch your game).

Court Support Duty:

Over the season, teams will be rostered to help around the courts and in the Clubhouse (but not the canteen) – setting up for the day, checking at midday and packing up. 30mins is allocated, but usually is takes 15mins. Duties include:

8.15-8.45am Court Set up:  Teams need to provide 3 volunteers to do set up for the day e.g. putting out the rubbish bins, putting up the pole wrappers etc.

12.30-1.00pm Court and Clubhouse Midday check: Teams need to provide 3 volunteers to check bins, restock toilets, general tidy up etc.

4.00-4.30pm Court Pack up:  Teams need to provide 3 volunteers to do pack up for the day e.g. bringing in the rubbish bins and pole wrappers, general tidy up, etc

Training resumes this Wednesday. SCNA Grading and games (for those divisions who don’t grade) commences next Saturday 30th April.

Please arrive 30mins prior to your game time for team warm up. Meet your coach at the Bullants banner on the grass at the western side of the courts/lower gate. Remember to trim your finger nails, tie long hair back, remove ALL jewellery and watches and bring a drink bottle.

UNIFORMS: If you don’t have a uniform, please see a committee member at training on Wednesday. If on Saturday you don’t have a uniform, you can wear black leggings/shorts and a white shirt. Please advise your coach on Wednesday so we can make sure your team has overhead bibs.

Courtside or Outside the fence in 2022? SCNA are no longer mandating that spectators remain outside the courts to watch the games, however, we have had a lot of feedback especially from our junior coaches and umpires that they prefer spectators to remain outside the courts. We encourage you to support this. Should you choose to be inside the courts, remember that only the coach, manager, scorer and players are to be on the team bench side of the court. All spectators are to be on the opposite side of the court.

Respect. Please let our Umpires umpire, our Coaches coach and our Players play. Applaud good performance and efforts by all players. Congratulate both teams on their performance regardless of the game’s outcome. Remember Bullants and SCNA are run by volunteers. Our committees, coaches, managers and umpires give up their time and resources and deserve your support. Sorry for late notice, rain stopped but courts too wet

If you have been waiting on a dress or a hoody that you ordered, please come to the pavillion this evening and see a committee member. We are still waiting on the training shirts & singlet/shorts.

Training will proceed in our team groups this afternoon/evening.

NSG – Year 4 teams

Thanks to the parents who responded to the survey to assist us in re-allocating players into teams. Please assemble on Court 5 this afternoon where we will sort the players into the proposed new teams. Announcements about final team composition will be issued in the next day or so once we’ve finalised allocation of players, coaches and managers.

Uniform

Tonight is the last chance to try on/purchase uniforms. Natalie Power will be available inside the pavilion from 6-6.30 to assist you with trying on and purchasing uniform. Any seniors who still need uniform can try on after training finishes at 8.30.

Managers

Thanks to all those who have volunteered to manage a team. We will consolidate our lists in the next couple of days and get information about team contacts etc to you then.

Is your child’s team on this list? We need a team manager for each one of these teams before we can issue a kit bag (bibs and balls). Please support your child’s participation in club sport and opt in by sending an email to bullantsnetball@gmail.com. The team manager ensures there is a roster for scorers and oranges throughout the season and distributes information from the Bullants committee to the players. We have a Manager’s Manager to provide support and guidance throughout the season. Here’s the list of teams requiring a Manager:

The rain has passed so training is still on.

The grading process is now complete and training in our teams commences this Wednesday. Bullants will nominate 24 teams to SCNA! Look out soon for an email soon with your team announcement. Teams are compiled based on skill level, coverage of court positions, overall team size and friendship groups.

Bullants is a club run entirely by volunteers. All teams will be rostered to assist throughout the season – manning gates at training, pumping up balls, organising kit bags, canteen and BBQ duty etc. Please be ready to assist.

More coaches needed: Every team must have a Coach and a Manager. At this point in time we need at least 5 more coaches. Your team will be advised if it doesn’t currently have a coach. If there are 10 or 11 players in a team, surely there are 1 or 2 parents willing to assist? Supporting resources can be provided for coaches.

Team Manager: The call out for team Managers will come soon. Without a Manager, no kit bag (balls, bibs & first aid) will be issued to the team.

Wondering when games start and what timeslot you may be playing in? Here is the draft from SCNA, be aware it is subject to change once all clubs nominate their teams. You need to arrive 30mins prior to the start of your game for warm up:
