Netball Resumes

Netball is back this week – Twilight netball kicks off tonight for NSG Set & Go, Tuesday night for Juniors, Inters and Women’s Seniors and Wednesday night for Mixed and Women’s Competitive.

A few things to remember as part of our COVID-Safe return to play plan, including:

  • Check-In CBR App for all participants aged 16 years and older.
  • Ensure that all player’s names are on the score board each week (will be used if contact tracing required for those under 16)
  • Sanitation of hands upon entry and exit to courts – Entry at the top end of the courts and exits at the side and bottom of courts.
  • Minimise interaction between teams not playing on the same court
  • Exclusion of spectators from the courts
  • Regular cleaning of all equipment
  • Limiting entry to SCNA club house for essential reasons only (a mask must be worn if entering the club house)
  • There will be a canteen open but no BBQ available.

We are looking forward to seeing lots of happy Bullants players and community out there enjoying themselves.  Please observe the requirements of the return to play plan and stay safe and healthy. Remember, we are all rusty – warm up well to reduce injuries. Long hair tied back, ALL jewellery removed, fingernails cut short.

Twilight Netball Update

Teams for Twilight have now been finalised and submitted to SCNA. Bullants has nominated 24 teams. We will advise your team and the SCNA Covid plan when finalised.

UNIFORM: Black bottom + white top OR Bullants dress if you have it. We will use overhead bibs for all teams.

TEAM MANAGER: All teams need a team Manager who is responsible for the team kit bag/ball/bibs as well as placing players into positions, especially in the younger teams. The Manager is also the team’s liaison for the club. If you are an Inters or Seniors team and you dont have a Manager, then a player needs to nominate themselves to sign out the kit bag and be the team liaison.

SEASON DATES: Starts Monday November 1, runs for 7 weeks, with last game 15 December. There are no finals. It is Social Netball, please play with a social mindset and abide by the SCNA Code of Conduct.

Monday

  • 5.30pm (and/or 6.30pm pending numbers) – NSG Set (Year 2 & 3)
  • 6.30pm NSG GO (Year 4)

 Tuesday

  • 5.30pm – Juniors (Year 5 & 6)
  • 6.30pm – Intermediates (Years 7-9)
  • 7.30pm – Women’s social (for social play)

 Wednesday

  • 6pm – Seniors (Year 10 – opens) competitive
  • 7pm – Mixed teams

Bullants AGM: save the date – Sunday 28th November 3pm. With three committee members moving on, we need YOUR help. Vacancies include a ‘Managers’ Manager’ as well as general committee members. All welcome!

FOLLOW THE BLOG: If you have encouraged a friend to come and play with Bullants, please make sure they are following the Blog to get these messages. It is easiest to find the ‘follow’ button on a desktop screen rather than a phone – tell them to look in the bottom right hand corner.

Twilight Registrations close this Thursday

Given SCNA are limiting teams, we need a hard close off for Bullants registrations. Registrations will close 6pm this Thursday 21st. Please register via this link so you can be added in a team. Please send an email to us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com if you have a team or friends you want to be included in.

MANAGERS NEEDED

Every team needs a Manager who is responsible (ie. signs for) the kit bag with the team bibs/balls. For younger age groups the Manager will also allocate team positions and ensure even game time across players. Please let us know if you are going to be a Manager or a player/Manager.

Summer Registrations Open Again

Hi Bullants families,

Netball ACT have resolved the problems they were having with the system at their end and we have been able to open our registration portal again. Appreciate if you would get your registrations completed asap, but certainly before 6pm on 21 October when the portal will close, via this link.

Remember, places are limited so the earlier you get your registrations in the higher the likelihood we’ll have our teams accepted into the competition.

Summer Registrations Pause

Hi Bullants families.

We have been advised by SCNA to pause registrations for the moment. Apparently there’s a problem at the Netball ACT level with how registrations are working and they need time to sort it out. We have temporarily closed all registrations, and will let you know when they are open again. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Summer Comp Rego Problems

Hi Bullants families.

There is a problem with the registration system for NetSetGo. Please hold off registering until we sort out the problem. We will get back to you ASAP.
