Twilight Netball Update

Twilight social netball starts next week and Bullants has 31 teams across all the divisions. Welcome to our new players, and welcome back for those who have played with Bullants previously. We are excited to see so many players on court and enjoying their netball. Please find important information before you take the court below.

What to wear on court – you can wear the Bullants uniform or a white t-shirt and black shorts/leggings.

Uniform shop – will be open at the courts this Sunday 4.30pm-6.00pm – electronic payments preferred

Kit bags (balls, bibs, first aid) – will be available for collection by Team Managers at the courts this Sunday 5.00pm-6.00pm

More Team Managers needed – every team needs a Team Manager to bring the balls/bibs each week and to help allocate players on court. Perhaps you can share this role with another parent? No coaching skills are needed. If there is no Team Manager, you wont be given balls/bibs. Team Managers need to identify themselves with an email to bullantsnetball@gmail.com and collect the bag as per above. Managers are needed for: GO – Hopi, Iroquois, Sioux; Juniors – Comanche, Chickasaws, Zuni; Inters – Cheyenne, Braves, Navajo; Seniors – Sekani, Arikara, Seneca

Jewellery/Hair/Nails/Water – Long hair should be tied back, nails need to be cut short, all jewellery removed (taped earrings not permitted on court as per Netball Australia ruling), and please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Warm Up/Injuries – it is important that all players warm up properly before taking the court to prevent injury. Teams should meet 30mins before game time to warm up. If you are injured during a game, your injury needs to be reported to the office for the insurance claim process.

Code of Conduct – all players are to abide by the SCNA code of conduct. Please show respect to all players, umpires, and officials. https://www.southcanberranetball.com.au/policies

Parking – the King Street carpark is easiest, especially given there may be Touch Football on nearby.

Draw – is not yet published, but should soon be available here under Twilight Netball https://www.playhq.com/netball-australia/org/south-canberra-netball-association/8231a9c0

Wet Weather – if games are cancelled an announcement will be made by SCNA on their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/southcanberranetballassociation/ Please be prepared to play, whilst one timeslot may be cancelled, the next timeslot might still play.

We hope all our players have an enjoyable social Twilight season. If you have any questions, please email us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com
