Grading Continues – Tomorrow!

It was lovely to see so many of you at grading last week! Grading continues tomorrow the 28th of Feb, for our juniors 5:30-6:30; inters and cadets 6:30-7:30; and our seniors 7:30-8:30.

Nails/Jewellery: Please ensure ALL jewellery is out prior to coming along to grading, this includes watches and fitness trackers, as well as earrings, rings, necklaces, claw clips, and anything that might hurt you or someone else if there is a collision. In addition, please make sure your nails are short and netball-appropriate length!

Hot weather: We’re watching the forecast, and it looks like we’re in for a warm one tomorrow! Please bring along plenty of water and a towel. We are well prepared and are planning for regular breaks throughout the evening.

Uniforms: The uniform shop will be open again this week, from 6pm. If you need to purchase a dress, please do so this week so that we can put in an order. There is a long lead time on dresses, and we’d hate for you to miss out.

Second-hand dresses: Got a spare dress that no longer fits? Not playing this season? Bring your dress along to training this week and we will buy it for $40. We currently have a limited stock of second-hand dresses but will have a few on offer this week for sale.

Parents: While we love your excitement for netball, we ask that unless you are buying a uniform or volunteering, you please drop your kids off, or wait for them out on the grass. If you are keen to be involved, we’d love you to volunteer to help us run a welcome BBQ on the first night of training, from 5:30pm on the 13th of March. More details are to come soon, but please email us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com if you might be able to help out!

NetSetGo: We’re as excited as we’re sure you all are to get you back on court, we’ll be in touch as soon as it’s time but keep your eyes peeled! If you are in year 2 and have some friends who might be interested in playing netball with you, have a chat and let them know we’re keenly looking! Registrations remain open for the rest of the week, here.

Grading starts tomorrow – 21st of Feb

We’re excited to kick the season off tomorrow, Wednesday the 21st of Feb for our first week of grading!

For our lovely NetSetGoers, you have a few more weeks to get your registrations in here, and then we will see you in March!

For our Juniors and above, tomorrow is the day!

Please arrive ready to get on court by the time below:

Juniors5:30-6:30
Inters6:30-7:30
Cadets6:30-7:30
Seniors7:30-8:30

Please also arrive ready to play! This means all jewellery is taken out, nails are cut short, long hair should be tied back, and bring your water bottle! Make sure that your name is on anything you might take off, like a jumper, hat or drink bottle.

The uniform shop will be open, but we ask that you please aim to purchase your uniforms AFTER your grading and not before (except for our senior players, please come early), so that everybody is on the court for their grading session.

Finally (and most importantly!!) we are still seeking some volunteers for tomorrow night, particularly umpires for our 6:30 and 7:30pm time slots. If you can help out, please email us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com.

Please feel free to send any questions or concerns about tomorrow to bullantsnetball@gmail.com, bearing in mind we may not be able to get back to you prior to the start of grading.

Reminder – Registrations close tomorrow!!

Here’s your reminder that registrations are closing tomorrow, the 17th of February for all of our Junior, Intermediate, Cadet and Seniors players. Click here if you still need to register!

If you have any questions or concerns about registration or anything important for us to know about you, please email bullantsnetball@gmail.com BEFORE grading starts next week!

If you are interested in starting netball, Netball ACT are running a Come and Try day TOMORROW for netballers aged between 5-10 at the South Canberra netball courts, between 9-11am. Click here for more information.

For everybody who has already registered, we’re looking forward to seeing you next Wednesday the 21st of February for week one of grading! Times for this are listed below.

Uniforms: Will be available to try on and purchase at grading, with our uniform shop opening at 6pm. Please note this means that your child should be trying on uniforms AFTER their grading session and not before. Our priority is getting kids on the court to ensure they are properly graded.

Managers: Each team requires a manager to be able to run, and will not be allowed to take the court without a volunteer. Please consider whether this is a role you can put your hand up for as we move into grading and team selections.

Coaches/Umpires: If you’re interested in helping the club out in a coaching or umpiring capacity, please email us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com, we’d love to hear from you!

Winter Season 2024

Hey Bullants Family,

We’re so excited to welcome you back for Season 2024!

The 2024 Winter Competition will run from May until September 2024 and registrations are now open. Key information is detailed in the table below.

Junior, Intermediate, Cadet and Senior players
 Registrations close on 17 February.
 Grading commences on 21 February.

NSG Set and Go players
 Registrations close on 2 March.
 Training commences in early/mid-March.

There has been a small increase in the overall registration fees. This is due to both Netball ACT and SCNA increasing their fees. Bullants has absorbed as much of that increase as we reasonably could without putting the financial viability of the club in jeopardy. PlayHQ has introduced a payment plan system, which may help to spread the cost for families.

If you have any concerns or questions please email us at bullantsnetball@gmail.com before registering. Refunds are not available post-registration if an error is made or you change your mind.

Reminder about piercings: No player can take the court if they cannot remove piercings (ears, nose, etc.,) and they cannot be taped. This is a Netball Australia rule and will be enforced by SCNA and Bullants. The last date for getting ears pierced before the commencement of the winter season is 9 March.
