We have now played the last game of netball for the 2023 Winter season, with Saturday’s Grand Final weather far from our regular game conditions. Congratulations to everyone who fought it out on court or stood sideline, wearing white, with a whistle in their hand! Thanks also to our wonderful spectators who cheered, the Grand Final atmosphere was fantastic all day long!
For those who love the stats: this season we had over 260 players across 29 teams, with one or more Bullants teams in every division of the SCNA competition. Over 40 coaches and many amazing managers helped to get us on court. 14 teams made it through to the finals series, 8 made the grand finals – 5 teams were runners up and 3 were WINNERS!!! Congratulations especially to Inters Cheyenne, Cadets Iroquois and Seniors Sekani. (Photos to come.) Thank you to every member of our Bullants community who contribute in some way to making our success happen.
Presentations – Whilst our Seniors teams enjoyed their presentation last Saturday night, our Net, Set, Go + Juniors + Inters/Cadets Presentation will be held at the Deakin courts this Wednesday 5.45pm until 7.15pm. This is the presentation of coaches awards and the player’s player award followed by pizza and a drink. We look forward to celebrating.
Lost Your Bullants jumper? A number of Bullants jumpers have been handed to the committee. If you have lost your jumper please come and see us on Wedneday night.
TWILIGHT COMPETITION – registrations strictly close 6 October
The twilight competition will run from 16 October to 13 December 2023. Registrations are now open and close strictly on 6 October 2023. SCNA is limiting the number of teams that can participate, so it is important to get your registration completed asap so that we can secure your place. Games will be held in the evening as follows:
Monday – Years 2-4 NSG competitions – 5.30pm NET & SET; 6.20pm GO (click here to register)
Tuesday – Years 5-6 Junior (5.30pm) Years 7-8 Inters (6.20pm), Years 9-10 Cadets (7.10pm), social and competitive women’s competitions (8.15pm) (click here to register)
Wednesday – mixed competition (6pm or 7pm) (click here to register)
Discounts SCNA are offering discounts for players who have not played netball in the ACT during 2023 and for those who are playing in more than one twilight competition at SCNA (eg women’s and mixed).
