Bullants is proud to have strong connections with esteemed SCNA volunteers who received recognition at the 2022 SCNA Volunteer of the Year awards on Saturday.
Congratulations to SCNA Junior Volunteer of the Year Lucy Jerga. Lucy has received recognition for her playing, umpiring and general can-do help to the SCNA representative program this season. Lucy who plays in our Inters Kiowa team is also involved with the SCNA Net Program. Congratulations Lucy! Your efforts are truly valued.
We are thrilled by the recognition Ruth Mahon and Gavan Cattanach have received from SCNA.
Court 2 is now officially named the ‘Ruth Mahon court’. Ruth has significantly contributed to SCNA operations as competitions manager, managing the Netta program, SCNA club/player registrations and for many years spent all day Saturday at the courts. Ruth and her family were also instrumental in keeping the Bullants club going for many years and have been actively involved in playing and the operations of Bullants until recently.
A brass plaque has been erected over the BBQ area in recognition of Gavan Cattanach’s building and general maintenance efforts around the SCNA courts. Gavan’s volunteer efforts for SCNA have been supported by his Bullants family members – Heather, Brittany and Becky – all of who have played with our club and Heather actively involved in the Bullants committee for many years.
Congratulations to all three Volunteers. Your effort and commitment makes a real change to community sport and keeps our players on the courts.
